Responsive site for Italian food brand Zeta
Wireframes • Prototyping • UI Design
Zeta is one of Sweden's most beloved brands, owned by Di Luca & Di Luca, the family business that brought Mediterranean food to Sweden and remains the market leader in Italian and Mediterranean products in the country.
Their range spans hundreds of products, from olive oils and vinegars to pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and pasta, available in supermarkets across Sweden. In 2016, I had the opportunity to work with Zeta as lead designer, tasked with building a new website for the brand.
The Challenge
Zeta needed a responsive website that looked great across every device, from mobile to desktop. Just as important, the site had to feel instantly familiar to Zeta's existing customers, staying true to Zeta's brand guidelines and connected to the products Swedes already knew and loved.
My Process
I started with wireframes, mapping out layout and content structure before touching any visual design, so navigation and information hierarchy were locked in early. From there, I worked closely with engineers throughout development to make sure the design held up in the browser, not just in the mockups, and stayed in regular contact with Zeta to keep the site aligned with their brand and product priorities as things evolved.
The Result
The result paid off: the site went on to take first place in the Web Service Awards three times, in 2018, 2020, and 2021.
Tripple award winner!
The project was very successful and received the reward for Best Commercial Website from Web Service Awards 2018, 2020 and 2021.
